I have lived with unopened boxes, in a room that I couldn’t even walk into, since I remodeled three years ago. I have a disturbing problem of not being able to throw away anything… the clutter in my apartment had become so distressing, it was like a black hole that sucked my energy. Then an organizing angel named Lisa came into my life. Because of her, not only am I on the way to reclaiming a whole room in my home, but she has taught me how to ‘let go’ of all the unneeded baggage in my life… Thank you dear Lisa!

I was fortunate enough to have Lisa Sarasohn’s help twice — in 2001 when I did a major reorganization of my home office, and again in January 2003 when I had to quickly pull things together for a transcontinental move. In both situations, Lisa was invaluable to someone — me — who has been a life-long pack-rat of the highest order. She brought organization to chaos, replacing fear with calm at stressful times in my life. The result — both times — was smooth sailing and heightened efficiency. There are those who talk results — and those who deliver. Lisa Sarasohn is definitely in the category of those who deliver, and for my money, she tops the list!

Working with Lisa Sarasohn was a tremendous boon to our business development department [for a major international law firm], and for me personally. Initially, Lisa worked with me on my own paper management skills, helping me to become a more organized, focused and productive leader. Subsequently, Lisa helped my 12-person department to prepare for a major office move, sifting through 10 years of files, downsizing from 91 lateral drawers to 45, while simultaneously creating a new filing system that enabled each staff person to easily maintain his/her own area of responsibility. I could not be more pleased with her professionalism, her approach, and the result.

I run a consulting business from my home. My home, storage shed, and office were bursting at the seams! There were so many boxes I was uncomfortable having people over. I took one of Lisa’s classes and decided to hire her to help me sort through, organize and dispose of years of papers and “stuff”. Lisa is very understanding of my OCD behavior (hoarding and difficulty letting go of things). She enabled me to part with things that really have no value or that could easily be replaced. Lisa demonstrated sensitivity in dealing with sentimental items, particularly those that belonged to my parents, since I lost both of them in the last couple of years and needed to go through countless boxes of their things. Along the way, Lisa taught me techniques and encouraged new habits to keep the clutter out of my life. It’s been a lot of work, but so worthwhile. What I’ve paid Lisa in fees is less than a mini-storage unit would have cost, and de-cluttering has lifted a huge load off my shoulders. Lisa is very professional, has mastered her craft, and stays at the cutting edge through books and conferences. I would recommend her to anyone who wants more order in his or her life.

I recently downsized and moved, and without Lisa’s direction and tireless assistance, I would not have been able to make it. Lisa was uniquely talented in diplomatically assessing my organizing challenges. I am dyslexic and she was patient and very understanding as we worked as a team to resolve the stress/mess. Her take-charge philosophy and innate charm were crucial throughout the process. She categorized, assembled, judiciously threw out and packed my belongings in a fifth of the time it would have taken me. Mere money can’t compensate what she accomplished; I am eternally grateful for her skills. Her class was a good introduction, and when I feel overwhelmed, I can refer back to my class notes.

Lisa was a tremendous help. In addition to getting me organized and setting up my filing system, she had good space planning ideas. I would recommend her without hesitation.

“Lisa calmed me down when I didn’t know where to begin organizing my garage sale. She took charge after a death in the family. She knows instinctively what needs to happen, and like a miracle it all gets done. Even when my closet gets out of hand, Lisa is the person I call.”

“My filing system was a disaster. Lisa came in and we went to work. Not only did she whip my office and files into shape, she taught me how to maintain it. Now I can find exactly what I need in no time at all. It’s even affected my company’s bottom line.”
